TWO RESEARCH POSITIONS are available to work in the University of
Seville in Medical Physics under the supervision of Antonio Leal Plaza.
RESEARCH LINES:
Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy; Image-Guided Radiation Therapy;
Adaptive Radiation Therapy.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Outstanding academic credentials. The applicant must hold a recent
Master degree preferable in Medical Physics or in process to achieve the
master degree.
- Eagerness to take initiative and solve intricate problems.
- Time-management skills and ability to work in group effectively with
minimal supervision.
- Excellent understanding of the physics of radiation.
- Programming experience and Monte Carlo simulation.
- Analytical writing skills and intellectual creativity.
Researchers are expected to achieve scientific contributions and
develop novel protocols and procedures. Experiments will involve tasks in
clinical institutions with linacs, dosimetry detection devices, electronic
portal imaging devices, and tasks related to scientific programming with
clusters and high power computational systems.
COMMITMENT:
Full-time, along 2012, last for one year, with an option to renew for a
second year by mutual agreement of the professor and the researcher.
Salary will be commensurate with experience and degree, ranging from EUR23K to
EUR26K gross income in the first year. Applications will start being
